OVERVIEW
Adapt Technical Group was a small firm that provided solutions, consulting, and talent to other businesses in the tech and health informatics space. They felt that their previous logo looked too dated and was in need of a full redesign to make the brand feel more sophisticated and ‘high-tech’. I provided them with a couple options to choose from and worked with them to refine it to their preferences. They also wanted to rollout the rebrand with some merch so I designed some clothing and business cards for them as well.
THE ORIGINAL DESIGN
This was the original design of the logo that the client provided me with. During the consultation, we identified that the combination of the multi-color scheme and the 3D graphic were making the logo feel too playful and not representative of a ‘modern’ tech consulting firm. Since the client was not keen on keeping any part of the original design, I was given the green light to start from scratch.
DRAFTS
OPTION 1
OPTION 2
OPTION 3 – SELECTED
OPTION 4
Since the client did not have a clear vision, I wanted to provide them with a few options to help narrow down what the graphic itself should look like and decided we would tackle fonts later. After sketching out several designs in my notebook, I moved a few of my favorites into Illustrator to create some digital rough drafts. These were the four I initially sent over with along with a few variants of each one to see what direction they wanted to head in.
The client overwhelmingly preferred ‘Option 3’ so I continued iterating on that design with different color and font arrangements.
